- I am the main modem tech for our ISP and we currently run with Multitech
- modems. They work pretty good but there seems to be some problems with people
- getting dropped and I think it is more a compatibility problem then anything.
- So since we are needing to expand again we are looking at a USR Total Control
- Rack with the netserver and Dual T1 cards plus the digital quad modem. What
- I am wanting to hear is from some of you that have used the rack and seen
- any of the catches. Kinda like the one I just found out about yesterday from
- the USR rep that the management software is designed for WIN 3.X and not '95.
- He wasn't sure if this would work or not. SO if anyone out there is using their
- software under '95 was there something special you had to do or did it run
- fine. Also what is the newest version of server software should be on the
- netserver card?? I know this is just a minorly modified Portmaster card in here
- and we run PM's here but I heard that this card ran really old software.
-
- let me know your experiences with installing these racks.
